Photographer in Vancouver, BC

I'm a portrait and lifestyle photographer. I work with individuals, couples, and families — from relaxed outdoor sessions to surprise proposals where she has no idea I'm hiding behind a tree.

Most of my clients have never done a professional photoshoot before. That's completely fine. I handle the whole thing: I'll help you figure out where to shoot, what to wear, how to stand. During the session, I guide you through poses and movement — you don't need to come prepared with ideas or worry about looking awkward. That's my job to sort out.

I shoot almost exclusively in natural light, usually around golden hour when everything looks a bit more magical. Based in Vancouver, happy to travel.

Available for sessions starting March 2026.

Fees

Portrait $250 CAD

1–1.5 hours at one location. Good for personal branding, dating profiles, or just having nice photos of yourself for once.

Couples $350 CAD

1.5–2 hours. For engagements, anniversaries, or just because you want good photos together.

Proposal $400 CAD

The surprise moment, captured without her knowing. Then couple portraits after she says yes.

Family $400 CAD

Up to 2 hours. I keep the pace relaxed, especially with younger kids. Breaks are fine, snacks are fine, chaos is fine.

Sessions anywhere in Vancouver included. Travel outside the city — happy to do it, let's discuss.

If you want to shoot in a studio, the rental fee is paid separately. I can recommend places.

Larger families (6+ people) or sessions with multiple outfit changes — reach out and we'll figure out the right package.

How it works

You reach out 01

Send me an email or DM with what you're looking for — the type of session, rough timing, any ideas you have. I'll get back to you within a day or two. We'll figure out the details, and once you're ready, a $100 deposit holds your date.

Before the session 02

A few days before, I'll send you a quick prep guide — what to expect, what to bring, final reminders. If you want feedback on outfit options, send me photos and I'll help you pick. For proposals, we'll have a planning call to go over everything.

The session 03

We meet at the location, chat a bit, and start shooting. I guide you through the whole thing — you don't need to know how to pose. Most people feel a bit awkward for the first 5 minutes, then relax once they realize it's not that serious.

You get your photos 04

Within 2 weeks (sometimes faster), you'll receive a link to your private gallery. You can download everything, share with family, order prints directly. The gallery stays live for 2 months.

Questions

I've never done a photoshoot. Will it be awkward?
Probably for the first few minutes, yes — that's normal. Most of my clients have never been in front of a camera before. I give direction the entire time, so you're not standing there wondering what to do with your hands. By the end, people usually say it was way more fun than they expected.
What should I wear?
Something you feel good in. Avoid big logos and very busy patterns — they can distract from your face. Solid colors and layers work well. If you're not sure, send me a few options and I'll tell you what I think will photograph best.
I'm planning a proposal. How does it actually work?
We'll have a call to plan everything. You tell me where and when you're thinking, and we figure out the logistics — where I'll hide, what angle works, what signal you'll give me. On the day, I arrive early and stay completely out of sight. After the moment, we do relaxed couple portraits while you're still in that post-yes glow. If you need a few photos same-day to share the news, I can make that happen.
What if the weather is bad?
We reschedule. Vancouver weather is unpredictable, I get it. I'll keep an eye on the forecast and reach out a day or two before if it's looking rough. Your deposit transfers to the new date — no extra cost.
Can I bring my dog?
Yes. Dogs not cooperating, kids running around — that's real life. Some of my favorite photos come from those moments.
How many photos will I get?
Depends on the session length, but roughly 30+ for portraits, 50+ for couples and proposals, 60+ for families. I go through everything and deliver the ones that meet my standards — no filler, no duplicates.

Good to know

Booking and payment

A $100 deposit reserves your date. Without it, the slot isn't held. The remaining balance is due on the day of the session (cash or e-transfer).

Rescheduling and cancellation

Need to move the date? No problem if you let me know at least 48 hours in advance — your deposit transfers. Less than 48 hours or no-show, the deposit is forfeited.

What you receive

All final images are edited in my style — color corrected with light skin retouching. I select the best shots; RAW files are not included. Your gallery stays online for 2 months.

Privacy

I may share photos on my website and Instagram unless you ask me not to. Just let me know before or during the session if you'd prefer to keep them private.

Timing

I typically schedule sessions around golden hour — the hour after sunrise or before sunset — when the light is softest. For proposals or situations where timing is fixed, we'll work with what we have.
